Media MisRepresentation and Manipulation of Women

Wow, this video clip was a surprising video for me in some ways. I have known for awhile that there is alot of violence in the media against women. I also know that there is a lot of violence and disrespect of men in the media as well. And the disrespect comes from all sides. So it has seemed to me like our disrespect for life and anyone alive is off the charts. So I did not really see the imbalance of this, and the impact on our internal social structure in terms of statistics.

 

Watching this video makes me happy to be a woman who is producing a social media site, and to be a woman who has now produced two educational entertainment (edutainment) DVD and is planning to pioneer change in media education. While I did not set out to do this to change the statistics, but because we simply are operating on a different revenue model than is common, so we will not have to operate at the mercy of the manipulation model.
